PIC16C65A errors

Hi,

I am trying to use WinPic800 v3.64H to write a HEX file to a UV PIC16C65A chip.

The hex code was generated using CCS Pic C Compiler v4.088 with no errors.

My programmer is a melabs.com EPIC Plus with a 40pin ZIF attachment.

I have used a UV Eraser to erase the chip, and when I try to write my hex code to the chip this is the error I receive.

ERROR -> Writing address 0x000000
Written : 0x3006 Read : 0x3FFF

I do not have much experience with PIC programming, but I understand that the error is occurring on the very first line of my hex file, and I think 3FFF means "blank".

I was able to successfully write to 2 different PIC chips that did not require UV erasing, but I am not sure how to resolve this error.

A hardware test in WinPic shows that my hardware is connected ok.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

The administrator has disabled public write access.
